The display options control the manner in which Chartist window elements are shown.
The Tool Bar, described in Chapter 3, may be switched on or off with the View Tool Bar command.
The View Shape Palette command, when checked, makes the Shape Palette visible along the right side of the Chartist main window.
Use the View Grid command to switch the display of grid points on or off. When the display is zoomed out, the process of displaying the grid can take a long time. The grid display is inhibited automatically if the display is zoomed out so far that the grid points would be difficult to distinguish. Turning off the grid display has no effect on snapping.
The vertical and horizontal rulers may be switched on or off with the View Ruler command.
Pictures in symbols can take a long time to display. If the View Pictures command is unchecked, pictures are displayed as gray rectangles to save time.
When checked, the attachment points for lines onto symbols are displayed as small hash marks just inside the symbols€™ bounding rectangles. The number of line attachment points is set with the Options Line Attach Points... command, described below.
